Ketamine
Ketamine is a commonly found as a mixture of (R)-Ketamine and (S)-Ketamine; where they both generally produce the same effects. However, when a 50/50 mixture is not maintained certain effects can be increased.
- (R)-Ketamine: Longer lasting and more potent antidepressant effects.
- (S)- Ketamine: Stronger dissociative and psychedelic effects.
Ketamine Effects
Ketamine tends to produce a light, floaty sensation accompanied by mild euphoria and a sense of detachment from one’s body and surroundings. People often describe feeling like they’re melting, drifting, or lightly intoxicated — similar to alcohol, but more surreal. Spatial and temporal perception can become distorted, and visual effects like warping, soft trails, or enhanced textures may occur.
At high doses, the effects are more pronounced, often leading to a disconnection from the physical self, altered or fragmented perceptions of time and space, and deep introspective or out-of-body experiences. You can “K-hole” — an intense state of dissociation that can feel like ego dissolution, floating above one’s body, or even being transported to entirely different dimensions or realities.
